Bee + Hive This year sees the launch of a new sustainability association, Bee + Hive. A not-for-profit organisation, Bee + Hive works with hotels, restaurants and parks to develop sustainable experiences which benefit the environment, economy or culture. Our favourite part? Bee + Hive then showcases these experiences so travellers can take part and join in the sustainable fun. Take one member, the luxury boutique hotel Pousada Literaria de Paraty in Brazil.

The hotel worked tirelessly to rehabilitate the local environment, replanting over 21,000 trees across the 50 acre site. All those trees have attracted a plethora of birds, meaning the resort is now the happy co-incidental custodian of Brazil’s only private bird sanctuary.
